NOEP Achieves New Record for Helping New Yorkers Receive Food Stamp Benefits

The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program continues to be the leader in the fight against hunger in New York State. In the 2008-09 contract year, NOEP assisted a record breaking 27,188 households to receive food stamp benefits, soaring past any previous achievement in its twenty year history. This accomplishment also resulted in an additional $65 million that NOEP brought into New York State's struggling economy.

Once again, NOEP is saving lives by the thousands, and investing in our state economy by the millions.
