Gearing Up for the 2011 Summer Food Season!

Hello good people,

The Summer Sun, Food, and Fun campaign is just around the corner! As a reminder (as with all campaigns), you are required to complete one outreach toolkit piece for the campaign.

However, we recognize that some of you go above and beyond the requiremenr of promoting the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Here is some information you mind find helpful:

1. NYSED's mandatory training dates for all program sponsors: 2011 Mandatory Summer Food Service Program Sponsor Training (3/11).

2. NYC Department of Education's information for all new meal sites (NYC only): Call Phillipa Lewin @ NYC DOE, (718) 707-4385. Deadline to enroll as a new site under NYC DOE is May 6th.

3. A list of all areas eligible to be open meals sites: 2011 Eligible Open Site Schools for the SFSP (1/11) and 2011 Eligible Open K-12 School Sites (3/11).
