Outreach Convention

Our Spring Conference is upon us, April 21st- 23rd.

Please note that the conference will begin at 12:30 pm on April 21st. Tuesday will begin with our welcoming presentations, followed by the first of three interactive workshops.

The latter half of the afternoon will feature a special presentation by OTDA, and then a presentation by Barbara Weiner from the Empire Justice Center on Immigrant Eligibility & Issues.

Lastly, we will complete the day with sharing our successes, NOEP updates, and preparation for the next day's big event...

Wednesday is our Outreach Convention at the Legislative Office Building (LOB)! Please review memo #32 for details of the day's agenda, and answers to several questions. Remember, each of you will be provided with your own table and are encouraged to bring your best and most effective outreach.

We have reserved a Trailways bus to drive all of us to the Convention and back. Each of you can bring up to 2 bags worth of outreach. Promotional items are most definitely allowed, however, you cannot bring any that may have a sharp edge, such as nail clippers or sowing kits.

Refreshments will be provided by 11:00 am and will be available throughout the Convention.

This is the first time that all NOEPs have gathered together in this way to do a collective "outreach & education" about Food Stamps and the NOEP program. This is truly an exciting time for our program.

After the Convention, the NOEP Advisory Committee will be hosting its meeting back at the hotel.

Thursday will begin with Child Nutrition, followed by two additional interactive workshops. Lastly, we will finish the morning with NOEP games- a great way to review NOEP trivia & new updates.

We are looking forward to seeing all of you very soon!
